Day 161 Promise 211 Psalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. 38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. (KJV) Perfect in the Hebrew is tam or complete. Mark, notice, the complete man makes more sense. You can be a complete person, someone who achieved their goals because they went after their dreams early in life. Some people consider them self-made men. However, when you put your hopes and dreams in God’s hands, God will take hold of your dreams and line them up with His desire for you, and you will be the complete person God intended. Those who don’t put their desires and aspirations in God’s hands, but seek their goals in an unorthodox manner, are cut off because of their wicked intentions. How do you know they are wicked intentions? God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. (KJV) David saw God’s hand in everything he did and saw what happened to those who didn’t trust God. As Christians, you know God takes your desires, your dreams, and lines them up with His so the two become one. When they do, you are complete in Him. What are your motivations? Do your desires glorify God or self? Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. God doesn’t change. He will always lift up those who trust and believe in Him and cut off those who deny and reject Him. Consider your ways and line up your thoughts and actions with God and watch Him work everything out for your good. Let’s pray: Father, You know my dreams and my heart’s desire. Show me Your intention and change my dreams and desires to line up with Your will for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
