This is one of my favorite Nora books. It has everything in it. Love and magic and character development. It's a stand alone book which was, like Affaire Royale, published by Silhouette in their Language of Love series. Synopsis: "Abracadbra! For this one moment, Ryan Swan, you will believe in magic... If only she could. But how was Ryan ever to know if the love of mysterious magician Pierce Atkins was real enough to last a lifetime, or just an illusion she'd conjured up herself? She'd just have to read the message in his eyes..." At 220 pages, this is a simple and sweet romance story that gives you so much. Ryan Swan had lived to prove herself worthy of her father's love. He had wanted a boy but got her instead. That meant she had to work twice as hard as anyone at her father's production studio to prove herself. I love watching her develop from that little girl who wants her father's love to a woman in love. Not that she's like a little girl in the book. Not at all but it's always our fondest wish to have our parents be proud of us. Pierce Atkins had a rough childhood into adulthood. He made himself the man that he is and prided himself on his control. Ryan Swan tested that control like no other. When they both succumb to what is obviously between them, the issue is not if they love each other...it's can Ryan see Pierce for who he truly is and accept him? *image from google*
