Day 163
Promise 214
Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (KJV)
Everyone has burdens which weigh them down.
David was always in the middle of a battle, whether with enemy his countrymen. King Saul looked for every opportunity to kill him because he knew God gave him the throne. The Philistines sought to kill him because he killed many of their countrymen in the name of God. Absalom wanted to usurp his kingdom and went to war against him.
Your burdens might not be as heavy as David’s were, yet in every situation in David’s life, he turned to God to save him, and God heard and answered his prayer.
Jesus told the people to cast their burdens on Him, to take His yoke and He would sustain them.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (KJV)
As Christians, when you give God your burdens, He takes them and restores you, refreshes your soul, and gives you peace.
Psalm 23:1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Jesus sustains you through every trial. He gives you peace, and delivers you from every trouble so that your burdens become light and your worries disappear.
Let’s pray: Father, take my burdens from me and give me Your peace. Restore my soul and refresh me with Your Word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

When I am in trouble I always remember the 11th chapter of the Book of Matthew, 29th verse. And I pray fervently my problem seems to vanish like bubbles.
