Along with those big hit country songs that nobody remembers I’m doing 45 rock songs with “love” in the title. I have a loyal reader who’s never heard of most of the country acts, which is understandable (you had to grow up in that era to appreciate what was popular then). At least she’s heard of today’s rock singer. And why not? I use him enough! Love Rules - Don Henley If you want to hear this song, listen quickly. Henley has some phobia about someone listening to his music. Silly me, I thought that was the whole purpose of making music: to get people to listen. Oh, well, he’s got his quirks, but dang the man can sing. This song was featured in about 34.7 seconds (not that I counted or anything ) of the film Fast Times At Ridgemont High. I always say about that movie, get the soundtrack and skip the film. I don’t think that film has aged well at all (“Love? In Ridgemont? We can’t even get cable TV.”). But the soundtrack has some good songs....and this gem.
