My Shortstack

Oh my goodness, he is freaking cracking me up. We call him Drew unless he's in trouble. Then it's Kenneth Andrew. And getting him in trouble so I can get on to his dad is one of my favorite past times. Even when it gets me the biggest eye rolls I have ever seen. Drew is my grandson by divine intervention. I call him Shortstack and he calls me Anessa. The term grandma has come up a few times before anyone gets uncomfortable. I tell him, " but you are lucky you have a Nessa, and not just everyone gets one of those." He seems pretty satisfied with that. I have nothing against being called grandma but his mom's mom has been struggling right now and you know the whole "kick em while their down" deal. Anyhow he says some of the smartest crap I have heard come out of a four-year-olds mouth. I can hear when they are trying to get him to sleep and I get soo tickled. He has the best reasons to stay awake. One night I told him if you don't sleep you can't grow up. To which, he throws his head back and cries, "I don't want to grow big and have to go to work and by toys." I could barely contain myself.

Haha...kids are getting smarter these days. It is impossible to make them change their mind.
