So that country song made your brain hurt (as Andria says)? Here, take one of these and call me in the morning. As a counterbalance to that old (late 1940s) country song, here’s a not-that-old rocker to get your Saturday hopping.

Oh, YEAH!!!!
One more time (and I’m sure it won’t be the last time), I really do like both songs!! I do not sit around with a couple of Whitburns and my country encyclopedia, wondering how I can mess with your mind when I make these lists.
I think this is Donnie Iris’ “biggest hit,” which isn’t saying much. “Ah! Leah” is a great song, too (that’s his other well-known tune). Did you know he was a member of Wild Cherry, of “Play That Funky Music” fame? He joined the band after that success, though.
This is a high-energy, high-rocking classic!

Interesting. A good radio station I listened to over the years, played the song a zillion times a day. The watts cannot reach me now.
