Lots Of People Are Shovelling This Morning

Yesterday, we had about 6 inches of snow in a very short time with winds. So, this morning, hundreds and hundreds of people are either shoveling manually or using a snow blower. Are you in the same situation today?

@marlina No. At least not in the last couple of years. We had our lean years without much snow. Last year we got a lot, and so far this year, we're keeping pace with last year. We just caught up with last year's snow total for this day last year.

I have done it when I stayed in Colorado. But now I am in that part of India where there is no snow. North India is covered with snow at present.

@marlina My city is pleasant all through year. So it's good. And every alternate year we visit a place with snow be it in India or elsewhere. I am so used to moving since childhood that I easily adjust to any new place. I have lived in several countries.

Yes, we're pretty much in the same situation. My husband went out early this morning to shovel our patio.

No snow here, but when we went skiing recently, we stayed in a cabin with a snow shovel on the porch and next door there seemed to be a blower (or mini plow??) . . . us non-snow residents wouldn't even know what to do with them .

@marlina Well joking of course . . . we would know how to shovel if needed - but we've never needed to. And it seemed like there were city blower trucks (however it is actually called) to shove the snow to the sides.

It is s**wing quite hard today; so we will be getting quite a bit of snow. We may need to get the drive plowed. My husband is too old to be shoveling in the cold.

I seen some pictures today where there is snow above the cars and up to some floors of some buildings, but people are enjoying it and yes also saw some shoveling. Here we are warm throughout the day.

Yes, we are in the same situation here today also. I am thankful that we are able to move our snow, just imagine the work that those poor people out in Newfoundland have to deal with. That is an insane amount of snow, I just cannot imagine.
