About all kids, I'm not so sure. I think for the older kids a couple of hours a day is okay. But my two and half year old just won't get enough of cartoons. But I noticed she learned sooo much. she counts to 10 she knows half her abc's. and she knows all her body and face parts she is very talkative. much more then my other kids.A lot of words. I guess it's more of what they watch. Dora is her fav. what do you think?

i let them watch quite a bit as long as they're active too. my kids never just sit and watch tv, they're constantly running around and doing other things, they may sit, but only for a few minutes. its like background noise to them sometimes...that how i am too.

I don't think cartoons are bad for the younger kids. My son watches cartoons alot but he also learns quite alot from them. He doesn't sit to watch most of them. He watches pieces of them as he is running thru. He watches both Dora and Diego. I think there are alot of cartoons that are very interactive with the kids and teach them alot.

Kids can learn alot from Tv but it should still be limited to only a few hours a day. I wish my 9 year old didn't watch tv that much. But he has his video games too that I think he shouldn't play all the time. But that is what the kids are into now. I try to get him to do other things besides tv and video games. If it is a nice day, I may say lets go out.
