If there is one good deal of the National Basketball Association (NBA) does for the average citizen in our nation, it is to recognize the wonderful deeds that are done to improve their community. Six days ago the Boston Celtics through their Hero Among Us program that began in 1997. Tom Costanzo who is the owner of the Tomasinos Pizza N Pasta in Redding Connecticut was the right place at the right time when he assisted a driver whose auto was stuck on the railroad tracks. Tom seeing that if he did not make any effort to get out of his auto and take action to get the driver that was trapped inside his auto before a train came barreling down on the train tracks, the driver of the auto that was trapped inside his auto would be deceased since the odds of surviving a collision with a train is remote. Tom was able to get the trapped driver out of the auto moments before the train hit the stalled auto on the train tracks and save his life. Yes sports franchises are business that enter their fans with sporting events, however the Massachusetts State Lottery and the Boston Celtics are to be praised for recognizing heroic acts from common citizens in their communities.

I agree with you since when a person saves a life, they should be rewarded by the city officials for saving lives.

That is true since it takes a lot of courage to get someone out of the way when a train is coming down the tracks ready to smash the auto at the last second.
