Where Two Hearts Meet is the second book in the Prince Edward Island Dreams series of contemporary romance novels. I love these stories. I have a connection to Prince Edward Island and I find stories in settings I am familiar with more endearing. Also, Liz Johnson has an amazing way of developing characters. The way they behave to situations throughout the story are consistent with their personalities. The romance aspect is a a slow build-up, but worth the wait. Johnson describes individuals' feelings in keeping with each character's unique personality. Synopsis: In her kitchen at Rose's Red Door Inn, executive chef Caden Holt is calm, collected and competent. But when her boss asks her to show off their beautiful island to impress a visiting travel writer and save the inn, Caden is forced to face a world much bigger than her kitchen - and a man who makes her wish she was beautiful. Journalist Adam Jacobs is on a forced sabbatical on Prince Edward Island. He's also on assignment to uncover a story. Instead he's falling in love with the island's red shores and Caden's sweets. When Caden discovers Adam isn't who she thought he was, she realizes that the article he's writing could do more than ruin the inn's chances for survival - it might also break her heart. There is the push and pull relationship between Caden and Adam, but also a long-standing rivalry between Caden and an old classmate, Bethany returns. This rivalry takes place in the kitchen and in relationships. Caden's cooking skills, her love for helping and teaching others, and her devotion to the Inn make up for what she lacks in physical beauty. To be clear, Caden is not considered ugly, just a little on the plump side. She is a cook after all. Liz Johnson also gives beautiful descriptions of Prince Edward Island with great accuracy. Her love for the island is apparent and she captures its endearing attributes beautifully. On to book 3!

I like contemporary romances because they are not filled with a whole lot of s*x scenes. Actually they have none. They are good clean stories.

Yes, I think she likes to travel and the places she visits inspire her to write stories about them.

I have always wanted to see Prince Edward Island, especially because of the books, "Anne of Green Gables".

Liz Johnson, the author, fell in love with Prince Edward Island but it seems the 4 books in the series are the only ones she will be writing... for now anyway. I hope she returns to these stories.
