I would hate to be in the shoes of the father of a 15 month boy who was abandoned at a subway station in the Bronx before dawn on Saturday.
A Good Samaritan just happened to be walking by the subway platform where the 4 train route when he saw the child shivering in the cold weather which was in the low 30s F.
The Good Samaritan who did not release his name took the child to the 46th Precinct police station around 4am on Saturday.
The police were able to locate the father of the child who allegedly abandoned his son at a train station.
Dondre Hunter who is the dad of the abandoned child was arrested at a subway station in Manhattan a few hours later for his role in the caper.
I just wonder what went through Dondre's mind doing that to his own son even though he Is innocent until proven guilty.
Only a heartless man does that to his son. I am sure that Good Samaritan will be reward for taking the abandoned child to the authorities where he was taken to a local hospital as a safety measure to make sure he is healthy from his ordeal in the subway platform.

@Deepizzaguy I've heard the saying but didn't know who said it.

@just4him I remember the late Roddy Piper who was a wrestler and actor making that statement when he was in the ring talking about how despite the fact he played a heel wrestler, he took care of his six children.

I agree with you I remember a Mississippi State Trooper named Pete Collins who said "Any man can make babies. It takes a real man to take care of them."

I would like to know what will happen to the son? I hope he will not go from foster home to foster home. I hope a good person or good people will take him in. It is so sad that not only animals are abandoned but children as well.

I am sure that the child will be sent to his relatives for now like a grandma or grandpa.

Leaving such a small helpless child in such cold is a ruthless act and no excuse can be accepted unless the Dad is not in right frame mind. I am sure there are better dignified ways of getting rid of the child if you can't afford to take care of them.

I agree with you since leaving a child at a subway station in cold weather is an act of a lowlife.

@Deepizzaguy It's definitely is ruthless. He could have gone for other ways to get rid him.... Maybe handing him to respective agencies in your country.

That is what I am wondering the dad would leave his son out in the cold at a subway station like that?

It breaks my heart when someone treats his child that way by leaving him at a subway station in cold weather.

Dondre should be left at the station without his coat and gloves. That was terrible what he did.

Heartless indeed. He could done a better way rather than left the child to die... I'm just glad someone is there to save the child.

I agree with you since how would the father like it if the shoe was on the other foot?
