Dust of my Wings is the fifth book that I have read this year. This is the first book in Carrie Ann Ryan's, Dante's Circle Series. I actually read this book for the first time last year and I absolutely loved it. I'm ding a re-read of the whole series in preparation for the new release in April. In this first installment, we get the basis for the whole series and meet some of the main players that will be featured through out the series. Shade is a warrior angel that uphold the rules of the angelic realm. There are many different supernatural realms that hide in the space/time folds of the Earth. Each with their own rules and counsels. The one main rule though is that they keep their existence a secret. So when the Angel counsel calls Shade forth saying that somehow a human scientist has a vial of Shade's dust, the stuff that comes off of his wings, not only is he ashamed of his weakness but it needs to be found and taken back immediately before tests can be run. Lily hates her job and really hates her boss but when he says jump she needs to say how high if she wants to keep paying her bills. The vial of blue dust is interesting to her as she can't identify it off the bat but it'll have to wait to be analyzed for just a little bit because she has one project she has to finish up first. Shade watches Lily, learning about her. It's his job to get his dust back...by whatever means necessary. Everything changes though when a lightening strike, strikes her and her six friends. The lightening strike awakens the paranormal gene that sleeps in them. The catch is that they need to meet their true half/soulmate to start the changing and to finish it, they have to consummate their bond. Shade didn't have any intention of doing anything with Lily. He just wanted to get his dust back without hurting her. He didn't expect to be so attracted to her. What he REALLY didn't expect is to find his true half with her and have the secret of why he really searched her out. Paranormals, true halfs and new dangers all come at her at once and it's hard for OCD Lily to get used to.Her head says one thing but her heart says another and she just doesn't know which way is up anymore. Shade and Lily need to find their way to give hope to the other six girls and Shade's best friend Ambrose. Ambrose is the one that explains true halfs to Shade and maybe...just maybe he has one in this new group a well. Every book I've posted, I've posted the synopsis. Usually I do that first but this time I'm posting it near the end. "Humans aren't as alone as they choose to believe. Every human possesses a trait of supernatural that lays dormant within their genetic make-up. Centuries of diluting and breeding have allowed humans to think they are alone and untouched by magic. But what happens when something changes? Neat freak lab tech, Lily Banner lives her life as any ordinary human. She's dedicated to her work and loves to hang out with her friends at Dante's Circle, their local bar. When she discovers a strange blue dust at work she meets a handsome stranger holding secrets--and maybe her heart. But after a close call with a thunderstorm, she may not be as ordinary as she thinks. Shade Griffin is a warrior angel sent to Earth to protect the supernaturals' secrets. One problem, he can't stop leaving dust in odd places around town, Now he has to find every ounce of his dust and keep the presence of the supernatural a secret. But after a close encounter with a sexy lab tech and a lightning quick connection, his millennia old loyalties may shift and he could lose more than just his wings in the chaos." It's a very good book by an amazing author. I would totally recommend it and while you don't HAVE to read them in order, I would totally recommend that you do. *image from google*

@samysotelo18 It's not easy. I have a routine and it works for us. I know quite a few people that are reallly busy, use audio books to keep up
