That time I found a toddler slumbering the bushes

The little fella was too cute not to stop and help. Not that I wouldn't have helped either way, the child was alone and vulnerable.
I walked up to the boy who looked no older than two. His eyes were half shut, his thumb in his mouth as he was curled up with a single blanket. It was far too cold for him to be out here. It looked as if he had been laid down for a nap, but woke up and wandered out of one of the houses that surrounded this school.
I picked him up, cradling him to my chest as he still slumbered. He snuggled closer to me, seeking warmth without stirring. I walked back into the school and stopped at teachers doors, interrupting them as they planned their next week's lessons. "Do you know who this boy is?" None of them did, but they were just as concerned as I was.
I made my way to the library, knocking gently on the door as I swung it open. The librarian was in one of her grumpy moods, shooting daggers at me before I even approached her desk. Even though school was over, and there was not a soul except her in sight, I still whispered. "Do you know who this child is?" She didn't bother to answer me, even as her eyes shot to the angelic toddler's little face. She just shooed me out of the library, a look of contempt on her face.
Then I woke up but not before several other things happened, none of which led me to the identity of the child's parents. [/b]

That is sort of what the dream felt like, like it was just one chapter that made up a whole.

There was a little more that happened, but I wasn't sure how to write that in so I didn't. Thank you. I like to write out my dreams in a creative fashion.

Poor child who would abandon their child especially at that age is stupid.

@Tina30219 Even despite the many "Safe places" for people to drop off children with no questions asked, people still just leave the babies out in the cold. How horrible!

It really is, which is why I am glad it was just a dream. Of course these things still happen.

@rakski I will have to see what my options are. I am not sure how many people would read it.

Do you have the same dreams at times or new ones all the time? I wonder if you will dream about the toddler and find out who he belongs to.

I have two dreams that recur every year and have since i was around 12, but I don't think that's what you mean. I sometimes, but very seldomly, will have a continuation of a dream. That usually happens when I've woken up during the night and fallen back asleep fairly soon after.

Yes, most of the time I am quite refreshed. I don't tend to remember my dreams when I wake up feeling groggy and not well rested.
