The Rain is Back, POUT!

The rain started again last night and continued with a light drip, drip, drip. It was no surprise that we woke up to rain. It is supposed to be another day of rain here. What fun, NOT!
Good morning to you or good evening, whichever may be the case. I hope you have good weather, i.e., no freezing, no storms, etc. On the good side here, it did get a bit warmer overnight with the clouds moving in.
No big plans today. No need to leave the house today unless I have some Ebay orders paid for. Even if they do pay up, I can wait a day or two to mail them off. We will just enjoy a quiet day here and watch the tube or I'll get some work done online. I need to work on some short stories for submission. The deadline is the last day of the month so I need to get a good draft done.
It will be a good lazy day here. I'll just enjoy my morning coffee and take it easy today. I do need to do some more laundry, but not essential that it gets done today.

aw, sweet moisture! 'tis still muddy here 'lthough 't didn't rain. jest drizzled fer hours'n end 'n top 'f the melted ice. i jest tend what needs tended 'til i've no more oomph. if'n 'tis not pleasant 'nough to do that outdoors, i tackle the 'ndoors. 'tis a good time to take 'part rooms 'n scrub ceilin' to floor.

Is there a short story contest?
It sounds like the perfect kind of day. You have things to do but they aren't urgent and can wait.
It's great weather here. It's snowing.

Nope, no contest. I have a couple of submissions I would like to get in to Chicken Soup for the Soul. I need to buckle down and get busy.
You should give it a try. I know you said it wasn't your thing, but the pay is good at $200 for 1200 word max. You can also submit poetry!
