Dusting with Memories

I was using the timer again here on Mylot so I would not forget my household chores. During the time I was not here, when the timer rung the bell, I was cleaning the bedroom, dusting and organizing the cupboards that I have. While dusting and clearing the shelves, I found many travel brochures which I have hoarded for many years. Those I couldn´t use anymore, I threw them in the paper bin. I have found old postcards and brochures from Windermere and Stratford-Upon- Avon in England, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and London. Seeing those cards reminds me of those places I have traveled with my better half. Are you a hoarder of things like postcards and brochures of the places you have been to? One of those postcards is the one with a poem from William Wordsworth, The Daffodil. Anyway, these things helps me in writing my travel journal later. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a nice day/evening.

I am sure finding those items have brought back good memories for you. It is good that you are using that timer again so that you are able to do some things around the house as well as mylot. I have cleaned the shower and toilet, have finished folding the laundry. The only thing that awaits me is to empty the dishwasher.

Using the timer while mylotting reminds me always that I still have other things to do besides mylotting.. It really helps a lot. As of the moment, I am done with household chores, finished dinner and cleaning the dishes. Time to Mylot full time. Thank you @ScribbledAdNauseum

@thelme55 I hope you enjoy your time here. What did you have for your dinner? It is only 1:21 here right now, too early for dinner. I had breakfast earlier, hummus with croutons.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We had freshly baked bread rolls and we ate them with slices of salami, Gouda cheese and cheese spread. It is 7.23 in the evening here in Germany.

I always put postcards and brochures in with the photos in an album.

That is good @LindaOHio. I have not done that yet. Well, I have started but since 2011, I have not continued it. Thank you.

I used to place all brochures, restaurant names, ticket stubs, photos, even cocktail napkins in scrapbooks. They have taken up so much room on my bookshelves, that I stopped doing that. Now every vacation is organized in photos online. That’s a lovely poem by Wordsworth. I read it in high school English class.
