Was woken by this bishop's gentle voice, as once again, sleep overcame me last night and I left youtube on. He was talking about the Council of Trent which I know not what, and Charles Borromeo, my father's namesake, and the Great Plague, which again, I know not what. So, I listened. There was gossip about Henry XVIII's petition for annulment of marriage to Catherine of Aragon and the skirmishes that went with it. Touched on the Papacy, too, which, one Pope Julian thought he was an Italian prince, but another, Pope Pius V rallied the parish priests to pray the Rosary as the Church's last stand against the invasion of the Turks in the Battle of Lepanto. This is what every Catholic must know. And yes, Bishop did mention that the best theologians are the ones on their knees.
