She was an American model and actress and was one of Hollywood's most promising newcomers. She was well known for her performance in Valley of the Dolls in 1967. On August 9, 1969 Tate and 4 others were brutally murdered by the Manson family in her home that she shared with her husband, Roman Polanski. She was 8-1/2 months pregnant and only 26 years old. 1974 - Ed Helms was born. He is an American actor, comedian and singer.
