Bunnies, Bunnies, Bunnies!

As you can see, the picture I have put on this article is of two of my bunnies. Well, unfortunately they are not with us any longer, but they lived such happy lives. They were called Hollie and Hazel. The brown one is Hazel and the grey Hollie. They were bought as a birthday present for my mum, from me and my sister. They were always so friendly, but they were unfortunately too friendly towards each other! The bunnies were originally housed together. They kept chasing each other and eventually fighting, and so we had to give them their own space and their own hutches. The rabbit run in the garden was split in two and they could see and sniff each other, but they couldn't get too close. Hollie used to chase Hazel constantly, and it wasn't fair. I do have more images of them which I will share in the future on here. We now have a new bunnies who we have had a couple of years and he is called Coco. He is a dwarf and is grey in colour, but my nephews named him and although they are a little frightened of him, he is such a friendly boy.

You will have to see Coco. He is so small! He is 2 years old but he's tiny still because he is a dwarf.

I should perhaps not tell you that during my college studies I bred rabbits for meat to make a living. As they helped me, I have now a peace treaty with rabbits, and I do not eat rabbit meat anymore. Do you know the origins of Hollie and Hazel, they look like a crossbreed of a local variety with maybe a New-Zealand rabbit ?

I bet you do. They are such loving animals. We have had a number of rabbits down the years. I remember the first when I was a small child. I will be discussing them all in due course. So look out for that x
