The Kid (2019)

Jake Schur (Rio Cutler) and Leila George (Sara Cutler) flee their home after Rio (Jake) kills his father after he (the father) kills their mother.
Chris Platt plays the role of Grant Cutler, their uncle and brother to their dead father. He comes across the two as they are attempting to pack to flee. They manage to incapacitate Grant before fleeing.
Eventually they find a place to rest, where Billy the Kidd comes across them. Dane DeHaan plays the role of Billy.
There is more to the movie, but that's where I'll stop so as to not give the whole plot away. I found the storyline to flow well, and there was just enough action to keep you interested without the movie being nothing but action. I think Dane DeHaan did a good job of playing Billy the Kidd, and Jake Schur was really great at his role in the movie as well.
This is a movie I would gladly watch again, and one that I wish there had been an extended scene for at the end. I bought it from vudu when it was on sale for $5.99.

I have not seen the movie called "The Kid." However since it about the infamous villain Billy The Kid, it is worth a look.

You can find it on amazon prime as well, but I got it from Vudu. I don't know if it's free on prime or not.
It should be noted that it's not completely about Billy the Kid. He features in it, but there's a separate character story that takes precedent in the film.

@Deepizzaguy It could be on tubi. It's been awhile since I've perused tubi. However, this movie is fairly new, I'm not sure if it would be provided on tubi yet.

Westerns aren't really my genre either, but the story was good enough that I found myself enjoying it.

I am not sure if saw The Kid before. I also like to stop at a certain point so I do not give away the whole story so it will leave people guessing or wanting to check it out.
