On the day of Saraswati puja beautiful alpona is given in every Hindu house.

Saraswati Puja is the worship of Goddess of Wisdom. Every year Hindus clean their houses and give alpona or rangoli with rice husk. Then the idols of Goddess Saraswati are worshipped with flowers and fruits.
