Notifications

I read here the other day that some people only go through their notifications once or twice a week. I check mine daily if possible. It may be a bit time consuming, but a lot of responses need responding to, as questions that may arise needing me to respond back.
How often do you go through your notifications?

I try to go through them every time I log in. But sometimes I have less time here and I am more interested in new posts. These notifications pile on those days.
