Following a friend's wedding reception, Kristen McKay and James Hoyt return to the remote summer vacation home owned by James's parents. It's in the middle of the night. James proposes to Kristen; but she turns him down. Just then there's a knock on the door. The porch light is out; but they can tell that it's a blonde woman. "Is Tamara home?" They tell her she has the wrong house; and she goes away. The bulb in the light was not tightened; so James screws it back in. He then goes out to buy cigarettes and to clear his mind.
The blonde woman returns looking for Tamara; but this time Kristen doesn't open the door. There is smoke coming into the house from the fireplace; and the smoke alarm goes off. Kristen takes the smoke alarm off; and it falls to the floor. Now there's more banging on the door. Kristen calls James and tells him to hurry home. The phone line goes dead. She plugs in her cell phone to charge it. Kristen is standing in the kitchen drinking some water. A masked figure appears behind her, watching, and then moves away.
If you want to know what happens, you will have to watch the movie. This is definitely something that you shouldn't watch if you're home alone! The suspense in this film is palpable. If you want something scary, I definitely would recommend this movie. Just a reminder - This movie is inspired by true events.
This movie is rated R.

When I saw your post I was thinking of something else. This sounds very spooky to me, but, good. I have not seen it and maybe it will come to Netflix.
