India white wash New Zealand in 5 match T20I series being played in New Zealand They defeated New Zealand in 5th and final T20I today played at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, the stand in captain Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson opened the innings but Samson could not last long. he was out on individual score of 2. K.L. Rahul then joined the skipper and put on 88 runs for second wicket. K.l. Rahul next to be out on individual score of 45. Rohit Sharma then had to walk out retired hurt on individual score of 60. That was the highest individual score of Indian innings Rohit damaged his thigh and could not take any further part in the match. K.L. Rahul did the captainship in his place in New Zealand innings. New Zealand started equally bad or worse than India bu loosing 3 wickets for 17 on board in 3.2 overs but 34 runs of 1st over by Shivam Dubey and 10th of the match saw New Zealand comfortably placed to win the match but as in earlier matches New Zealand fumbled the chance, credit though has to be given to Indian Bowlers spearheaded by Bumrah who took 3 wickets for just 12 runs of his 4 overs. Saini and Thakus took 2 each to complete the New Zealand route. With this 5-0 whitewash in T20I series India will go in positive frame of mind in ODI series that will follow soon.
