Groundhog Day - The groundhog predicted an early spring! Yay! Super Bowl Sunday Palindrome Day - 02/02/2020 - The date reads the same forward and backward. It's the first palindrome day in over 900 years. Hedgehog Day 1653 - New Amsterdam (later renamed New York City) is incorporated. 1709 - Alexander Selkirk is rescued after being shipwrecked on a desert island for 4 years and 4 months. He was the inspiration for the book "Robinson Crusoe". 1947 - Farrah Fawcett was born. She was an American stage and movie actress, producer and model. Her breakthrough role was as Jill Munroe in Charlie's Angels from 1976-77. She also appeared in The Six Million Dollar Man with husband Lee Majors from 1974-78. Fawcett received 5 Emmy Award nominations and 6 Golden Globe nominations. Some of her films: Extremities, The Burning Bed, Logan's Run and The Cannonball Run.
