"Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" is a sports comedy released in 2006. The screenplay was written by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay; Adam McKay also directed the movie. Budgeted at $72.5 million it brought in box office receipts of $163 million. CAST Will Ferrell - Ricky Bobby Jake Johnson - 5-year-old Ricky Luke Bigham - 10-year-old Ricky John C. Riley - Cal Naughton, Jr. Austin Grimm - 10-year-old Cal Sacha Baron Cohen - Jean Girard Michael Clarke Duncan - Lucius Washington Leslie Bibb - Carley Bobby Gary Cole - Reese Bobby Jane Lynch - Lucy Bobby Amy Adams - Susan Andy Richter - Gregory Houston Tumlin - Walker Grayson Russell - Texas Ranger Bobby Adam McKay - Terry Cheveaux Ricky Bobby was born in North Carolina in the back seat of a racing car due to his father, Reese, missing the turnoff for the hospital because he was driving too fast. Ricky's father told him, "If you're not first, you're last"; but Ricky barely saw his father during a 10-year period. Ricky is now an adult working on the pit crew of Dennit Racing driver, Terry Cheveaux. Terry decides to take a bathroom break while in last place. Bobby sits in as his replacement and finishes third. Bobby becomes rich and famous and meets his future wife, Carley, after she flashes her breasts at him. It's a few years later and Ricky Bobby has won several championships. He persuades Dennit Racing to fund a second team so that his best friend, Cal Naughton, Jr., can race. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. "Shake! and Bake!" is their tag line. Cal slingshots Ricky into first place; and then Cal finishes second...every time. If you want to see what happens next, you will have to watch the movie. Whenever I see a movie with Ferrell and Riley in it, I make sure to check it out. They are a funny team of actors. Some of the movies that they are in have some offensive content; but "Talladega" is pretty clean. This is another movie that I have watched several times. If you're into comedies and especially if you like Will and John, you will enjoy this movie. By the way, be sure to watch until the very end of the movie. There are some funny outtakes shown. This movie is Not Rated. Photo Credit: Pixabay

I might lose my 100% Certified Sweet Tea Southerner Membership Card for saying this, but I've never seen this all the way through. I think I have seen it all, just not in one sitting.
