A gas station not so far from the place where I live was temporarily closed by the local authority. Two weeks ago, there had been fire nearby the station and according to the people there they suspected that there is leakage of gas oil directing to the drainage because for quite a time they're observing gas odor emitting from the area. Someone tested also the overflown water from the drainage during rain that it flamed when light up. An ongoing moving out of gas oil from the drainage currently take place. It's just right that it was closed for the safety of people and living within the area.

better to be safe than sorry, especially if it involves the public. where will people get gas then? is there another station in your area?

There are two gas stations in that particular area. There are still stations operating in other parts of the city.

That is dangerous if there is a leaked somewhere from that gas station and is spreading in the sewage system since they can trigger an explosion if by some accident a spark dropped on it.

It was not confirmed but maybe that was the cause of fire two weeks ago.
