Valeria Lukyanova got viral on social media because of her distinctive look. She was dubbed as the Human Barbie because she executes her physique like the doll itself. The 28 year old Ukrainian Model processes this alteration which is called, "Body Modification". This stems to a variety of reasons but more so, a human being wanted to portray a certain way through his/her physical changes. Body modification or body alteration is the deliberate altering of the human anatomy or appearance. It is often done for aesthetics, in remembrance of lived experience and as self-expression. In this case, her resemblance to a Barbie doll and to enhance the Barbie effect Lukyanova uses makeup and contact lenses over her naturally green/gray/blue eyes. She has stated that she has had breast implants, but that the rest of her body is natural and slender due to daily gym workouts and a particular diet. What are your thoughts to body modification?
