Photo Screengrab from Fox News I just saw this on the news days ago and it was really quite alarming and scary that things like this happened. Good thing that nothing happened to the poor little innocent kid. A man and his wife noticed a two -year old boy riding a bike on Boulder Highway near Wagonwheel Dr. Footages of this incident were caught by their car's dashboard camera. It was around 4:30 p.m. The child was by himself so the couple stopped to help they pulled him off to the side of the road, the man jumped out with open arms and scooped up the boy. Police were there too for rescue and questions the boy. The toddler says that he lived in the neighborhood across the steet. Authorities and the couple took him door-to-door and found his Mother wandering looking for him. The Mother told authorities that the boy got out of her sight and says she hears people racing all the time down the busy highway. She also said that the gate in her neighborhood is constantly open. It's not locked, so sometimes even strong wind will blow it open. The reason why the boy escaped. Police and the Mother are now filing a complaint over to the HOA. This has happened a lot in my town. Parents just don't pay attention to there children anymore. I'm a helicopter parent, I have to know where my kids are at all times.

This could have turned out so bad! So scary to see that child in the footage. I know you can't keep an eye on your child every second but I think the mother should share a little of the blame. My gosh, he's only 2.

I know It is scary imagine a kid wandering over the freeway and what if something happened to him. God forbid! Good thing he is now back at his home but yeah, the Mom should really be more careful and they need to change the gate ASAP. thanks for your reply.
