We all use herbs and spices, whether its for seasoning, health, to make us smell nice or just in the garden. What are your favourites and why do you choose them? My favourite herb is rosemary, I like it as a tisane to sharpen the mind, in roast food, also as an invogorating soap and bath oil. What is your favourite herb at the moment?

Well I like Chamomille for helping to relax and to scent the place. I have seen it in soaps as well as in teas and candles. It's just a very soothing scent. Same with Lavendar. The scent can help one relax and I do like it in scents, candles, bath products. Now for cooking I love parsley and use it in most anything for I find it can really add to the flavor. Along with garlic, not sure if that ones falls into the herb or spice section but I love garlic and adding it to most of my cooking.

In cooking I use a lot of garlic and cummin. As for fragrances my favorite is vanilla (not really a herb) and Ginger.

We use lots of herbs, both as spices and as medicines. Oddly, one of the most useful--lavender--is a smell that I don't care for. One reason for that, I think, is I tend to have low blood pressure and lavender can lower it even more. Maybe it's a good reaction for me (to not use it much). Gosh it would be hard to pick just one favorite; my favorites seem to change with the seasons. Rosemary however is lovely year-round. Do you make your own soap?
