I don't know where the book came from, probably a second hand copy from one of my mother's admiral bosses' children. But it was in our small bungalow at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, so, I flipped the pages and read. Dogs are always interesting. But the wilds - wow. The narrative was nothing like the tall grass that cover the slopes. Now, the novel has been turned into a movie, starring my favorite Harrison Ford. I am pretty excited. Here's the unassuming actor with the intelligently funny Jimmy Kimmel.
