Christmas isn't just about getting gifts and hanging up your stockings with care. Christmas is the celebration of a life! The life of Jesus Christ.
I know that very few people really pay attention to that because the Christmas Holidays are filled with families that fight and argue all the time, or filled with saddness and loss, or depression from the deep thoughts that no one loves you enough.
Well i have NEWS! you don't have to feel like you don't belong, that no one cares, that it doesn't matter, "It's just another holiday", or any other lame excuse. our children deserve to know the truth about Christmas and what is really all about.
Over the past 2006 years we have introduced into our society the negatives and we dwell on those negatives as a sorce of loss. It's just an excuse! Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas! Jesus was born around December 25th, not on that exact date. But December 25th is the date that was chosen to celebrate His life.
I know that I will probably get a few responses about people not believing in God's only son, but you know what! I do believe in Him! Jesus died for me and I want to spread the NEWS that Jesus can make all of your hurts and suffering go away! Jesus is the TRUTH, THE WAY, AND THE LIFE!
Christmas is about life, love, and the gift of a savior. Choose Jesus Christ today and He will never fail you! The Bible says that God will never forsake us! Take Him up on His offer of Eternal Salvation! Feel what is really like to love, and to be loved! Be happy this Christmas! Learn what you are celebrating!

It is nice to know what christmas is all about and especially important to teach children as young as possible about it. When I was little all I knew about Christmas was that Santa was coming to bring me stuff. It wasn't until I was older that I learned what it was REALLY about.

thank you for your reply. i had the same thing told to me as a child. i finally realized that i was being lied to about the Santa bit. boy i bet you can imagine my surprise when i found out that it was my mom and dad putting the presents under the tree. they said this, "That's just how it is." i was only 8 years old then. thanks again.

Actually, Jesus Christ was born in the summer. Constantine had the celebration of his birth moved to December so it would match up with the Roman festival Saturnalia, to help make Christianity more palatable to the Roman people. Constantine did that with all the holidays, which is why every Christian holiday matches up exactly to the dates of the Roman holidays prior.
