I cheat at life

I used to play The Sims 4 on my laptop, but that was several years ago when it first came out. It stopped working for me after upgrading to Windows 10, and instead of trying to get in contact with tech support, I just decided to let it go. A few years later a relative bought it and placed it on their computer, and I've been slowly getting the packs again. The Sims 4 is one of those games I like to do a lot of cheating with. I use lots of cheats to help me build a house the way I want, or have the sims life the way I want it. To me, The sims is an extension of my creativity. The image above (if it loads) is of the house I finished building yesterday. I like building bigger, but then I find that I am not sure how to fill rooms. I tend to build a house and then get bored with playing with the characters I place in it. The same is happening to me now.

I was introduced to this game many, many years ago. It's been a favorite of mine ever since, and I've played almost all iteration of it. 100 games? wow. We have maybe.. six.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah, I was obsessed with computer games at one time; and I"d hit the 1/2 price sales really hard. I got a lot of them for around $3.50 each.

Yep, I have all but the jungle one, the strangeville one and the island one I think. I actually stopped playing with these characters and built another house and another story. The house is smaller. Doing careers I haven't really done in awhile.

@thislittlepennyearns I've been doing more surveys today, made $2.70 just doing that on qmee. I closed out of The Sims, but not before building another smaller house and a new family. When you create a new sim, the first sim you create has a little notepad underneath the traits, that's where you can write their story out. I usually don't bother, but I knew it was somewhere that you could do that.

It can be. I mean, I like it because I can sculpt a sims life, and tell a story with it.

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately I lost all the parts of the game when my computer crashed and as hard as I tried, I couldn't find the instructions to download it again. I moved on to Forge of Empires and the games stays on the server. Nothing for me to lose ever again. I did have a lot of fun with that game though!!

If it weren't for someone else buying the game again, I wouldn't be playing it. I wish I had known that you had lost it, they just had a sale for the main game and it was $6.00, you could have gotten it again. I think the sale is over now.

The bigger houses are harder to furnish in my opinion, but I love making them. This is an addicting game.

I actually built another house for another sim now, and the house is smaller. I need to take a screen cap of it. You don't play sims anymore?

@Mavic123456 I can't remember exactly how much motherlode gives you, I think maybe 100,000. I like it because it's faster.

I always enjoyed building and decorating. Like you, I would get bored after that. Now when the Sims first came out years ago, I played it all the time. I also love Roller Coaster Tycoon.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I was thinking about playing The Sims today. I haven't played in a little while. I LOVE Sims. It's a good distraction I feel. The only cheat I would use is to keep my Sim alive forever. Not sure if there is such a thing. But otherwise regarding money, I love working my way up. I start living on my land with like one bed, toilet and fridge and then work my way up to a really nice house and car. I just love that sort of thing. If only I could do that so fast in real life lol I really love the house you made! Seriously so beautiful!

You can go to the settings and extend their life to immortal I think. It's been a long time since I've done that. Thank You. I actually got rid of it and went with a whole other family and style. I was getting tired of the family I had. Sometimes I start with just one sim and work my way up, but it's rare that I do that. I have started building more tiny homes instead of the bigger ones though.

@VivaLaDani13 It's been a long time since I've played Sims 2. We actually have that on a computer that I am not sure even powers up anymore. I just did a search and it says that drinking the Elixir of Life on a regular basis will keep a sim Immortal as it extend their life for 3 days, this is for the SIms 2. I forgot about that elixir. I don't like making Sims as myself. My ex husband once made a sim family that didn't include me, but it did include his girlfriend. That was one of the first signs that he was cheating, one that I ignored. Needless to say, it put me off of playing the sims for awhile.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Thank you so very much for the info! Do you think it's the same with Sims 2? As that's the one I like to play. Well for now anyway! You're very welcome! It's very interesting to know how others play these games. It really does vary quite a bit. I pretty much always start with a Sim that I make as myself and I guess live it's life how I wish I could. Well minus setting my kitchen on fire or selling paintings to buy food before I starve and stuff like that lol

To me, it's not fun if there's no cheats.
