Good morning from the top of the Keys! Yesterday was great, and I walked way too much, but today’s another day (and I’ll probably walk way too much again, too). Since John just finished a Bogart movie countdown I’ll stop by and say “hi” to Key Largo. But first, another song from my ten favorites with “love” in the title from the world of country music. I’ll Go to My Grave Loving You - Statler Brothers Statlers. Love song. Harmony. See ya tomorrow. On the cover of their “greatest hits” album (this was recorded to pad it, and it became a #1 hit) their wives were on the cover. The liner notes said that the music inside was what their record label called “the best of the Statler Brothers,” “But the cover is what we consider to be ‘the best of the Statler Brothers.’” Ain’t that sweet. And I think they meant it: none of these guys ever got divorced. Don’s brother, Harold, made this into a gospel song (“He Went to the Cross Loving You”) for one of their gospel albums. That’s love, too. Enjoy some of the finest quartet harmony around. YOU ARE AT THE TOP OF THE KEYS? My favorite place on earth? I'm so jealous. I can't even concentrate on this song. The Statler Bros., yeah, I've heard of them...THE KEYS?!!!!!
