Gloria Estefan (Gloria Maria Milagrosa Fajardo Garcia) was born on September 1, 1957. She is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman and the lead singer for the Miami Sound Machine. She received worldwide acclaim for the recording of "Conga" in 1985. In 1988 the band had their first #1 hit with "Anything for You". Estefan has received 3 Grammys and sold 100 million records worldwide.
