Because of the NCOV issues we have been having lately, most of the school activities here in our country are cancelled. The Department of education wrote a memorandum cancelling all the activities. In my kids' school, graduation ball and prom were already cancelled and even the parent-teacher conferences were called off. The Regional Sportsfest that our city is going to host is only moved to March. I was even surprised when my college young lady told me that the university already cancelled their National Chemistry Olympiad. She was so disappointed because she and her team put up months of preparations for this. But I think it is just right to do so because precaution is better than cure.

Your right that precaution is better, but sad for all those who must stop their plans.
