Here is a modern day story that is a sort of rewritten version of a book that was first published in 1878. It tells the story of a group of privileged and very spoiled American teenagers. Their lives revolve around shopping, clubbing, drinking , smoking and all the other things that rich modern teenagers get up to.
The original book that was the inspiration behind Anna K was none other than Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.

It was not really my sort of thing because I think it was written for much younger readers. However, it did encourage me to do some research on Anna Karenina, the book that this story was inspired by. Now I wish to read the original story.

@just4him So do I, it is a well known book so I could probably find a copy of it somewhere. I will keep looking in the charity shops and used bookstores.

That sounds very interesting. I like new takes on old stories.

It is good to read new takes on old stories because the old stories are usually good ones with interesting storylines.
