Almost five years ago, my life changed completely. I changed my job, but I was not sure it was the right decision. I worked in a mobile phone store before, but I hated it. Then, I had an opportunity in town I live, actually across the street. In my town, Erdoszentgyorgy(Sangeorgiu de Padure), which is in Transylvania, now part of Romania, is the Rhedey Castle, where one of the ancestor of the British Royal Family was born. It was recently restored and they needed employees, to be able to open it. I took the chance, and I don't regret it. I had to work with European projects, and additionally, to become a tourist guide. And also I had to organize European themed events, mostly for pupils and students. When I started working there, I couldn't speak in front of others, I was very shy. Now, things are completely different. I have no problem with public speaking, and, based on the feedback tourists leave, I am a very good guide. I also appeared several times in many Hungarian and Romanian televisions, and I also earn pretty decently. The only downside is the lack of free time, but nothing is perfect in this life. All in all, I can say my job has become my passion. How about you? Do you love your job? Photo: Rhedey Castle, photographer: me

I am retired now but used to work at university. I have been a freelance writer for the past 20 years and I am slowly getting back into that. Loving what you do is one of the keys to a successful life. Your new job sounds fascinating and very interesting!

@kareng Did you have enough energy to do that? I tried that, too, but it was way too much for me, as my freelancing sort of job was all about deadlines. Couldn't handle it.
