Sending out Friendship books...

Someone asked me from one of the pen pal groups I belong to on FB if I had any Friendship books. I did, and had some to make as well, so I'm sending the lady a bunch today.
Friendship books are papers stapled together, sometimes with a decorative cover.
The book has who it was made by and who it is for on the cover, and the person that made it sends it on to another pen pal or person who wants Friendship books to pass on.
When a person receives it, if they want to participate/are looking for new pals they put one of their address labels inside and maybe write a little blurb about themselves, then pass it on to someone else.
Once the book is full of addresses, (the maker usually puts a "Full? Send home to *name of person it's for* please! message on the back cover) the last person to put their info in the book sends it back to whoever the person was that it was intended for (that person's address will be on the front of the book).
I sent a bunch of Friendship books today, announced that I have more to send on a Facebook Pen Pal group, as well as some Label bags (which are kind of the same idea as friendship books, but a little different in how you use them).
Hopefully, I'll get to send more out to "new homes" soon.

I don't know who came up with the idea--I learned about it years ago--but it is kinda neat.
