Age of Demagoguery

Was actually not surprised to see this dialogue because I have thought about it early on, four years ago, in fact, that the rise of tyranny could be inevitable. The emergence of leaders who supposedly have won the election and brag on their power because they have the 'mandate of the people,' alongside the proliferation of 'fake news,' was just a recipe for tyranny. We call it demagoguery. None more blatant than what is happening in the good old USA.
President Trump has just announced the sentence commutation of former Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich, a move that arrives just days after the DOJ overrule...

I am not aware of that maybe because I am not a US citizen.

Neither am I. Many friends, and family are, though, so I check on the ugly reports every now and then.

@eileenleyva all my siblings are US citizens but they are not telling me anything about the politics there.

@Alexandoy Same here. All my siblings are naturalized Americans. They have differing opinions. Sigh. I watch the news. America is definitely divided. Someone must remind them the old adage 'United we stand, divided we fall.'
