Day 201 Promise 262 Psalm 145:15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and You give them their meat in due season. 16 You open thine hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. 18 The LORD is nigh unto all them who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. 19 He will fulfill the desire of them who fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. 20 The LORD preserves all them who love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. 21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever. For many people, the opening verses of this study have been a table prayer when they eat. People want God’s blessing on the food they eat. David showed it was more than a table prayer. God provided everything people needed for their lives. God is gracious and merciful to all those who trust Him and will give them the desires of their heart. He will also destroy their enemies. As Christians, you have much cause to praise God as He blesses the work of your hands and provides you with everything you need, even the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV) Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (KJV) Do you give God praise for all He does for you? Are you thankful for all the blessings He gives you every day? Or do you complain when things don’t go the way you like? God is a loving God who gives generously to His children. You are His child if you accepted His Son, Jesus, as Savior and Lord. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the many blessings you bring me every day. Help me to be thankful and praise You for all You do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 23 February 2020 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay.
