Good afternoon, everyone. I'm back for the next A to Z of Me Challenge, and today is J for journaling. I think I got my first diary when I was a little kid, as a gift (from either a parent or an Aunt/Uncle, or maybe my Grandmother, I'm not sure at this point). It had a lock and a key, and I felt like such a big kid (I was like, 7 or 8 when I received it). I can't remember everything I wrote in it, but I imagine it was either something about my day or I'd draw random pictures in it lol. I had journals off and on as a teenager/adult, including a Pirates of The Carribean one I have packed away somewhere. The pages were a little too dark for me, but I still like it lol. I had online journals, some with friends and at least one private one, because everyone needs a place to vent in private. Nowadays, I use MyLot as my journal, though I pick and choose what I share on here. I have a place to write privately when need be. I also use notebooks, or the notes portion of my daily planner, to get out random thoughts or whatnot, whether it's an idea or a list. I think you can tell from my blogging post of the A to Z Challenge that I find writing as a way to express myself. :) Oh, and before anyone asks, I forgot that I had a post for blogging and journaling, or I would've tried to separate those topics a bit (i.e., my fan blogs for the previous post, and my personal blogs for this post). I'm out, you all enjoy your day/evening. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

That's great you started journaling at a young age.

@tammys85 We have something in common. I didn't journal, but I did start writing at age 8.

I had one or two locked journals growing up, too. Then just notebooks as a teen.

I had a notebook journal, but I threw it out many years ago, as my way of moving on from certain things/people.
