"Working Girl" is a romantic-comedy drama that was released in 1988. The budget was $28.6 million; and the box office receipts were $102 million. CAST Harrison Ford - Jack Trainer Sigourney Weaver - Katharine Parker Melanie Griffith - Tess McGill Alec Baldwin - Mick Dugan Joan Cusack - Cynthia Philip Boscoo - Oren Trask Nora Dunn - Ginny Oliver Platt - Lutz James Lally - Turkel Kevin Spacey - Bob Speck Tess McGill is a 30-year-old secretary living in Staten Island and trying to move ahead at her Manhattan financial conglomerate company, Petty Marsh. Because her Bachelor's Degree in Business was obtained through evening classes, she can't enter her company's training program. She works in the mergers and acquisitions department. Misled into thinking that her supervisor, David Lutz, was helping her get a better job, she let herself get set up with a sleazoid colleague of Lutz's named Bob Speck who tries to seduce her in his private limousine. She retaliated by writing what she thinks of him on the company's office digital stock-ticker crawl display. Not a wise move. Because of this she is reassigned as a secretary to the new mergers executive, Katharine Parker. Katharine assures her that it's a two-way street, she will mentor her and encourages her to share any good business ideas that she has. Mick Dugan, Tess's live-in boyfriend, doesn't understand why she spends so much time in Speech and Management classes on weekends. Best friend, Cynthia, doesn't understand why Tess just doesn't marry Mick. Tess explains that her career comes first. Tess goes to Katharine with an idea for Trask Industries. They want to acquire television stations; but Tess says that her research shows that they would be better off to acquire radio stations. Katharine promises to bring it up at the next meeting. f you want to know what happens next, you will need to watch the movie. I'm not a Melanie Griffith fan; but I am a Harrison Ford fan. In spite of the fact that I find Melanie Griffith annoying, the movie gets the job done; and Harrison Ford is excellent in this film. So, with reservations, I recommend this movie. This movie is rated R.

I'm a Harrison Ford fan too. I've seen just about all of his work including Working Girl. I believe Alec Baldwin wore a powder blue suit in one of the scenes.

The one with Ripley in it. Although the Aliens films weren't the first films I saw with Sigourney Weaver, but Ghostbusters was.
