India lost the first test match vs the Kiwis very badly, by 10 wickets at Wellington.
Pujara, Shaw and Kohli were not able to score much. Mayank Agarwal and Rahane were a little better, but not enough.
Post match, Virat Kohli, the skipper has asked his batsmen not to be ultra defensive.
Pujara took 81 balls to score 11 runs, and other players too were very slow at times.
Having played a bit of cricket in my childhood and afterwards(though not at any state of national level) , I know that at times, bowlers are having a field run. They make run scoring tough. Yet there is a psychological level too.
I hope that Indian batsmen learn from their experience, make a plan and execute.
And the most raring to do so will be Rahane and Pujara.
And Kohli too is due for a big score.
Waiting for the next match at Christchurch to start tomorrow.

actually playing Kiwis in their backyard is quite tough.
Other teams too struggle when they play in New Zealand.

Yes the current Indian team has shown some big fightbacks in the recent past.

Perhaps change of technique rather than attitude may work on green bouncy pitches of New Zealand. Pujara is always slow and does very little outside home. It would be better if they replace him by K. L. Rahul, who is more accustomed to the conditions and a flamboyant player. Kohli has got the technique to bounce back. Let us hope for the best.

Pujara is slow, but he has played some great innings outside India in the recent years. In fact, I think Virat Kohli has more troubles, especially against left arm pacers.
