That was our topic for today's forum. It was February last year that the law was enacted but the Implementing Rules and Regulations was just signed last October. Actually, this is a better version compare to the previous national health care system I would say. Although the amount of contribution paid by the contributing members is raised every year until five years to attain the 5% of the minimum ceiling amount. What I like most is through this law, in a matter of time we every Filipino could avail the medical services as outpatient. Not unlike the previous, the coverage is only applicable to the admitted patient and special cases. I think there are still things to iron out in terms of the implementation and we will see that through time how all these things work if it is really efficient and effective.

It's about time that Philippine Government should put more focus on Healthcare system in the Philippines. Many aren't fortunate to get the needed healthcare assistance and this will definitely benefit from that. Thanks for sharing.
