I’m supper proud of myself! I’ve been using digit app which takes small amount of money from my account a day. I have it set to not take anything if my account drops before $20. Right now I have my rainy day account which is serving as our vacation funds this year to take $1.00 each day and my house funds is to take 25 cents a day. Each week for the past few months I’ve been throwing $5 in one or the other. This week I should have over $50 in my PayPal so I think I’ll put a little bit more towards both!
Do you have a saving money goal?

I don't have a specific savings goal right now, but every payday, I pay myself first before paying any other bills. I put a predetermined amount of money in my savings account, and then move on to pay bills and such. My savings account is my rainy day fund, but fortunately I've never had to dip into it, although I will this year. I got hit with a pretty hefty tax bill this year, because two things caught me off guard: one, my son is now too old to get the $2000 child tax credit on, and two, my salary from playing professional paintball bumped me up into a higher tax bracket. But I've already adjusted all my tax withholdings so that I am better prepared for my taxes next year!

That’s is good you put money aside. I wish I could do J’s first but our bills come first or the kids wouldn’t have a home. We also go bills then savings.

@ShyBear88 The biggest "pay myself first" thing I do is contribute to my retirement accounts at work. Those funds are taken out pre-tax before I ever even see my paycheck, so even if I wasn't putting a little away into savings each week, I would still be paying myself first with the money that goes into my retirement accounts.
