The sounds of the seagulls

So, Sunday morning for me, started at 5.40am. It was dark, but I loved sitting there listening to the seagulls as they started their day. This for me is a case of emotions reminding me of past happy matching emotions. When I was a kid, we would visit my Nan up north at least twice a year. Although we loved near the River Thames, she was on the opposite side by the sea. The proper sea! And I remember loving the sounds of the seagulls up there. Yes we had them in my old town, but these seemed different. The sound brings back many happy emotions, including contentment, excitement, enjoyment etc. Then after a few more holiday this time south west, my angel fiance Kev and I would hear the seagulls every morning. This just topped up my emotions once more. Adding to them was peace, love, joy as I holidayed with Kev. Living here near the sea, it gives me pleasure to hear the seagulls each morning and watching them swirl around in the early morning breeze. The old happy memories and emotions surface, and I go woosh to the top of the emotional scale. What a perfect way to start of my morning. In fact meditating with the seagulls and the clock ticking half hour ago, started my day just right for me.

They are not bad except when they attack you because of food.

Wow! I've missed posting here for a long time and so I thought I would pop in today and then I came across your post! I really am envious of you and I think it's everyone's dream to be living by the sea and experiencing the fresh air and sounds of the ocean! It sounds like you got out the right side of the bed though :) A positive post and one day I hope also to be living by the sea although I'm not too keen on the seagull droppings!! Have a nice day.

Your description reminded me of my childhood. We stay close to the sea and used to visit seaside beaches during the summer. I used to love the sound of the waves heating the rocks, the sand and everything associated with it.
