Nope, temptation is not a sin.

The liturgy on the first Sunday of Lent is about temptation. Thus, we hear again the story of the first couple who committed the original sin. And made us inherit that grievous sin. Sigh! Then, in the Gospel, that forked-tongue of a serpent who tempted the first couple, came to tempt our Lord Jesus as He was on His forty-day retreat. Of course, the evil one failed. Our Lord is the New Adam, our Christ, our Deliverer from sin. Is temptation a sin? The priest asked that homily time. Nope, it is not. Sin happens when one succumbs to temptation.

Temptation is there, everyday. It is not up to us. It is up to us how we react to temptation.

Thank you. We have to spread the Word. Young people do not know much about the Story of Salvation.

There is always a temptation in our life and it is on us to commit it or not.

The seven capital sins are always inviting. Difficult to resist. Man is frail. Takes strength to fight the temptations. Grrr.
