@KityCat There are some children who claimed they have memories like the boy from scotland. I also heard about an Indian little girl who shocked her parents because she speaks German.

There is no apt answer to it. Definitely all faith believe that soul is eternal and body is just the container. Also physics believes that energy can't be destroyed. And soul is an energy.
