Finally after waiting 3 day we got the iron supplement in for my 5 year old. My poor 9 year old in pain all day yesterday waiting for her antibiotics for her ear. She came in my room and hour ago crying because it hurt so bad. I promised her the second here daddy got home he’d have her medicine because it was ready for pick up. Medication ready and give to one of the two kids.

@ShyBear88 right, my niece hates certain medicine too when she is sick. But if we want to feel better we have to listen and take it.

There is always something going around. She should feel better in a day two but has to take the whole thing to make sure it doesn’t return.

@Blondie2222 mine don’t mind too much they are use to it. Either they going to take it on there own or we could do it the hard way.

@ShyBear88 Yes, I know that iron is a supplement. I have taken that a few times before but I didn´t like the smell of the iron and I puked every time I took this supplement.

Ear infections are the worst. My son used to get them all the time when he was little. At one point the doctor was going to put tubes in his ears just to relieve the pressure. But thankfully, he finally started doing better and stopped getting ear infections.

She doesn’t get the like she use to when she was 5-6 she did hav small ear canals so it does make her more likely to have ear infection and tubes where talked about but they have been in control for the past 2-3 years. This is her first time in a while. All because of a virus. Common fact that people don’t know that most ear infection and strep throat is caused by you catching a virus first and bacteria build up from drainage and snot. That is what happen we had seen a lot of white snot coming from her nose and then it stop then she started to say her ears hurt so i knew it was an ear infection.

@moffittjc nasal spray up the nose and this ear drops that bubbles ear wax and stuff out. That seemed to get her ear infection in control. So when it starts to bother here I use the ear stuff and hope it works. This is one of the rare times it didn’t.

@ShyBear88 One of the ways we helped my son ease the pain from the pressure was to our small amounts of hydrogen peroxide in his ears. The peroxide would penetrate the eardrum and help relieve some of the pressure. Not sure about the science behind all that, but it was something our doctor recommended and it worked.

Ear infection. Build up of snot and drainage for anyone can cause ear infection or strep because of bacteria getting trap from body trying to fight off viruses. It happens some times for her which is why when she complained about her ear hurting we took her in. Knowing that she has a lot of snot the past two days before then.

@ShyBear88 Sad to hear that your kids are having to take medicines and having health issues. What are the ailments that your two kids suffering from by the way? I'm guessing common cold.

One is a supplement and that’s for my 5 year old he just has a low count form his recent blood drawl for food allergies. He has a lot of them as where look for see if we could do a food challenge. So he gets to take iron for 3 months do another blood drawl and see if his count goes back up. For my 9 year old she either has something in the flu family but didn’t have the flu and because of all the drainage and snot she got a build up of bacteria which caused and ear infection. Common for a lot of people if they get a bad virus. She’ll feel better in a few days once the antibiotics takes its full affect and she complete the 7 days.
