This minister of health from the United Kingdom does not seem to understand his priority as minister of health. The 'but' in his statement means his concern about protecting life is equal with his concern on economics and socials.
I think the economy and the society has a way of coming back, So, leave that problem to economists and sociologists. His duty is to protect the people from the threat of the novel coronavirus and the impending fatalities from the COVID-19 disease.

@eileenleyva the issue should be looked at in all angles, medical, economic, cultural and even religious. I am always pragmatic when it comes to crisis. People have their own specialty. Millennials? Thank you for the good laugh.

The elderly mostly are being taken by the disease. Aren't you glad the doctors and nurses responding to care for the ill are millennials? In the UK, suggestion on tapping the med and nursing students to fight the disease has been made. Of course, the adults are compromised.

The novel coronavirus has paved way to a new norm. No more shaking of hands, hugs, besobeso!
Now we go fist bumps, elbow bumps, hand on arm shakes, and raise one eyebrow greet. Yay.
